THE HANGED ONE

A zine from the week of May 26-June 1, based on drawing The Hanged Man card at the top of the week. The images that follow below are alternate designs that didn’t make it in, but were an exploration of the same prompt. There is also a video with a bit of BTS.

The Hanged Man represents… a lot haha. I’ve been pulling prompts/meanings from a couple of books I own, but a quick search online reveals so many more. It’s about waiting, it’s about surrender, it’s about being suspended, in some cases trapped.

But when thinking about the card imagery and the waiting for the effects of a decision to follow (since this followed the Two of Swords pull from last week), what came to mind was aerial silks. A controlled suspension, sudden, graceful movement.
