TWO OF SWORDS

A zine from the week of May 19-25, based on drawing the Two of Swords card pull at the top of the week. The images that follow below are alternate designs that didn’t make it in, but were an exploration of the same prompt.

The Two of Swords represents decision (or indecision) a stalemate, a crossroads, etc etc.

I have been someone who really struggles with all kinds of decisions. I am trying to break the habit.

Overthinking can be a comfort zone. It’s familiar, it fills time, and it’s painful and exhausting. And ultimately, overthinking and stalling a decision is also a choice - one that’s especially cruel to the self. The world keeps spinning, time keeps moving, and the self is stuck perpetually in between.

While putting together this zine I thought about the paths life can take through ‘big’ life decisions in particular, the fact that it all ultimately leads to the same destination… and how there’s growth in every direction, so long as the choices and the steps forward are intentional.

What will you sacrifice when it comes time to choose?
